From the kits inception in 2020, APE have spent countless hours testing and developing on the 131 platform. Out of the box, the SE 131 Stage IV Kit provides impressive gains and output without sacrificing reliability; however, with a few small changes we can untap its true potential…
Collaborating and developing with Wes Brown of Cycle Rama Inc., A.P.E has designed the missing piece to optimise Performance Touring.
The CR515 Camshaft is the ultimate drop in cam for the Harley-Davidson 131 cubic inch engine. This Cam offers a very broad and smooth power delivery, massive mid-range torque and huge gains in horsepower.
APE have also optimised air flow by having Neil from Warflow Cylinder Heads hand port and texture the supplied SE 64mm cast intake manifold. This process leads to an undisturbed air intake which translates to maximum power output.

Super smooth power delivery, massive mid-range torque, huge gains in horsepower and happily runs on pump fuel.
Dialled in to enhance the performance of the Milwaukee-Eight® engine, these slip-on mufflers feature a large inlet for improved airflow. When teamed with a free-flowing air cleaner, these Street Cannon mufflers deliver horsepower and torque gains you can feel.
Large 4.5” diameter mufflers are tuned to provide a rich exhaust note, a deep bass rumble, and great throaty sound when you roll on the throttle.
To strike a balance with your neighbors, the large internal volume and strategically designed baffles help maintain the peace at partial throttle.
Large diameter body adds a muscular look to your ride, and the newly designed mounts keep the mufflers tucked in close to the bags for a clean profile.
Features a die-cast Screamin’ Eagle® medallion on their flanks.

THE RIDE
So now you have the power, we need to make sure you’re comfortable. The handling and ergonomics are covered with an installed set of H-D fused lo handlebars; with a low slung 9 inch rise, flat drag bar hand position and a compact z-bar design.
These handlebars place the rider in an aggressive riding posture with optimal wrist position and elbow bend; a necessity for high performance touring.
From here we added the premium adjustable Screamin’ Eagle/Ohlins remote reservoir rear shocks. These high-performance rear shocks were designed with Ohlins specifically for the Screamin’ eagle factory team race bikes. These mono tubes remote reservoir shocks are completely adjustable to match your riding style.
